When the sun comes out, or you’re contemplating your summer holiday, thoughts very quickly turn to hair color and one hair color in particular - blonde! In fact, there are so many shades and tones of blonde that there’s one to suit everyone, giving every skin tone and hair color the opportunity to lighten up. No one wants to have a brassy blonde or lightened hair that looks dull and tired.

Q: What sort of trends will we be seeing with hair color/colour this fall and into the winter season?
Trending Hues
According to Neil Barton, Goldwell ambassador and owner of Neil Barton Hairdressing in Edinburgh, Scotland, blonde shades never go out of style. They are not just for summer but all year round. This past winter, this seasoned colorist saw a lot of warm-toned blondes, with lighter blonde toning their hair down and opting for golden and honey hues instead. Silver and platinum blondes are another popular hue for winter, giving an icy, snow-inspired look.
Copper Appeal
This intensely deep and warm red hair color and wild haircut are reminiscent of British culture, where the New Romantic period in music inspired a cult-like society. Hair artists Mark Eubanks & Shannon Rha of Mark Christopher Salon created this richly-hued look to set the cool-weather season on fire.
Oil Slick Color Trend
Rainbow hair isn’t just for blondes! With the oil slick hair trend, even dark-haired beauties can rock the look without having to do extreme lightening from roots to ends.
