Stylist Robert Arguello cut Nicole’s hair to release the weight and allow the natural curl to shine through. He applied a shoulder length cut with internal layers and tons of texturizing. Longer bangs are offset to one side to frame her face.

For her color, her natural brown was taken to a multi-dimensional series of copper and red with golden highlights throughout.

Mary’s one length hair was applied with longer layers to add some style and movement overall. Pon Saradeth (of Pon International in Anaheim Hills, California) then heavily texturized all over for a rougher finish. For her color, a richer series of brown was infused with some soft caramel highlights.

For Carissa, stylist Mary Jane Hirsch created a mid length cut in a rich red brown hue with copper highlights. The cut features disconnected layers, texturizing all over and volume at the crown for added shape.

To style, Pon International Sealant is applied all over, Turn it Up is layered in afterwards then Elevate is used at the crown for extra lift. A round brush is used while blow-drying to invoke volume on top. Once completely dry, the hair is flat ironed from the mid shaft to the ends leaving the volume on top. Pon Du soy paste and Frizz Free are used to finish.

Aurem's naturally fine hair reached to just past her shoulders. To instill more length and volume, stylist Mandi Bevando (of Pon International in Anaheim Hills, California) applied real human hair extensions. She used a strand-by-strand fusion system to custom blend the colors into the natural hair. The hair was cut dry and layered to frame her face, texturized all over for movement.

Shawna Petersen created a mid length style for April (W.), which features longer layers and a side bang. Her highly dynamic color accents her texturized cut. It involves a rich chestnut brown base with triangle sections placed one on either side as well as one in front. Each section has back to back-to-back foils with blonde, burgundy and brown.

For Allison, her color is very soft and organic with a furry, foxtail sort of appeal. According to Cinta Salon colorist Jeannette Farrell, the modern placement of the color was done to accent the cut with very sharp lines around the front. It’s bold and a little darker with a feathery highlight around the edge to emphasize all of the bits and pieces. A teardrop shaped halo of color in the mid tone range is placed on top to offer some disconnection.

This fabulous pixie offers easy care along with all of the benefits of short (but stylish) hair. To create this pumped up look, apply volumizing mousse on damp hair and blow dry sections pulling upward with a vent brush. Once dry, run a dab of styling paste, mud or putty through to fingerstyle hair into place. Add a light mist of hairspray for all-day hold. Now you're ready for a night out on the town!

For Lauryn, Art Director Stephen Mendelson of Studio C Salon in Irvine, California created a medium geometric cut with a very lineal, architectural feel to the structure. A strong underneath perimeter is accented by a soft overlay of disconnected layers.

For the color, a rich red is interlaced with dark brown, medium brown and purple panels. The placement is in ¼ inch sections done in a circular pattern based on the curvature of the head. This created a very rounded feel to the color to offset the square-ness of the cut.
