Stylist Kathy Reddel of Alexander's Grand Salon and Spa in Anaheim Hills, California created a soft razored cut for Rachel that features longer layers.  A shorter disconnected top and crown are slightly merged to instill height and volume while a wispy asymmetrical fringe frames her face.

Naturally a dark blonde, Rachel's color was taken to deep violet brown infused with slightly lightened highlights above her fringe area and dropping to the front and sides for added dimension.

This short shag shape by Lori Kurtz of Alexander’s Grand Salon and Spa of Anaheim Hills, California has disconnected layers throughout for maximum texture. Her color is a deep copper base with an asymmetrical star section on top that was prelightened then applied with a rich red.

To style, a straightening balm and a gloss product were cocktailed together and applied all over her towel-dried hair.  Mousse was also worked in all over then using just her fingers, Katrina blow-dried to remove all moisture. Once completely dry, a cream pomade was used to piece, then a strong hold spray and spray shine was dusted over the surface for luster and long-lasting hold.

Erika has a shaggy mid length style, with “barbed” length and bold stepped fringe around her face. To style, the hair was blown dry with a Denman brush in the natural fall position using Velvet Gelatine from the new “underground inspired” Urban Experiment collection of styling products by Redken.

This design for Stephen was created by leaving a moderate amount of “lived in” looking length around the entire head and detaching the front completely, leaving it much longer than the rest of the shape.

To create these soft sexy waves, Nicole Eggert (of Salon Boucle in Anaheim Hills, California) started with long layers on shoulder length hair. The ends were point cut for movement and a heavy side-swept bang was added to accent the face.

For the color, a soft copper brown is broken up with highlights around the face, through the temple and in back. To produce a softer transition of color, highlighted sections were backcombed before applying the color.

Jessica’s naturally straight and fine hair was slightly longer with a natural brown hue.

After: Her new cut is short and shattered, cropped at the nape and disconnected at the hairline. An asymmetrical bang disconnects from the sides. For her color, a soft baby blonde is applied all over then rectangular highlights and triangular low lights are worked back through for dimension.

For an everyday style, root boost is applied for lift before blow-drying with a round brush. After flat ironing spray wax is used to finish.

Melissa had a mid length style with an overgrown light brown and blonde mix from her previous hair color. She wanted a look that was a little more daring with lots of texture and versatility.

Celeste started with a short elevated bob with shattered layers then added disconnected bangs and sides. For the color, an intense ruby red was used as the base then rich black panels were placed throughout for added dimension.

This fabulous mid length look by David Bickle involves a 5 point cut or star shaped section on top, which is under cut and disconnected for extreme texture throughout the style. The color is a warm golden blonde with some of her own natural blonde coming through. A clear glaze over the top seals the color in and gives depth and shine to the surface of the hair.
