Rococo Collection

Collection by Megan Grimm
Taking modern forms of styling juxtaposed, this ornate and slightly over the top collection by Megan Grimm offers a sense of atmosphere of Baroque paintings. Meant to provoke emotion through lighting, expression, movement, and negative space, the artist incorporates the shadowy drama similar to that of Caravaggio - an Italian painter active from the early 1590s to 1610. His paintings combined a realistic observation of the human state, both physical and emotional.

language, drawing, painting, and textures in the majority of my work."
