Collection by Megan Grimm
Taking modern forms of styling juxtaposed, this ornate and slightly over the top collection by Megan Grimm offers a sense of atmosphere of Baroque paintings. Meant to provoke emotion through lighting, expression, movement, and negative space, the artist incorporates the shadowy drama similar to that of Caravaggio - an Italian painter active from the early 1590s to 1610. His paintings combined a realistic observation of the human state, both physical and emotional.
"While my inspiration comes from just about everywhere, there is a strong influence of dance,
language, drawing, painting, and textures in the majority of my work."
Born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, Megan Grimm has always been a lover of creativity and art. Her background in art led to a degree in fine art and eventually to hair. Today, she is working behind the chair at Fiore Hair Salon, becoming an educator, and managing her bridal business. However, this vibrant new talent has hit the ground running in a few short years in the industry by traveling, doing collaborative projects, avant-garde styling, and session work.
