For the front section, a heavy side-bang is balanced by a wreath of braids, which spans back to incorporate into the ponytail. Random sections within the ponytail are then pinned into the base of pony.

For Triana, Adelle Florez of Fantastic Sams regional corporate office started with softly curled ribbons through the ends. She created a deep side–part, and pushed her swoopy bangs to one side. The rest of the hair was directed back and over to one side, twisting and intertwining and softly knotting random pieces into offset curls creating an almost lacey appeal against the back of her head.

For Kelly, Linda Morrell of the Norco, California Fantastic Sams went for a mix of classic elegance and modern texture. She started with dry strands that were slightly curly on the ends, back combed at the crown and smoothed back over the surface for a strong outline. Next, Linda created a deep and messy side-part, and leaving a panel of hair out in front, she swept the length back and to one side. She swirled the length against the nape of Kelly’s neck and pinned sections into place leaving an asymmetric quality.

For Carolyn, Ryan DiGregorio of Fantastic Sams in Temecula, California started with volumized hair with a hint of curl on the ends and then added some backcombing at the crown for height. She created a side-part and pushed her bangs over to one side. Next she smoothed the surface of Carolyn’s hair back into a messy, offset chignon low at the nape of her neck.

Elia Munguia of Fantastic Sams in Chino, California gave Lyanne a very polished and elegant upstyle with a thoroughly modern appeal. She started with roller-set strands, that she smoothed close to Lyanne’s head and secured into three vertical sections in back. Each section was twisted into a coil and pinned into place leaving the ends out. The ends were smoothed down and pinned onto the surface of the hairstyle.
