Side Pin Curl - FS-10-1179

Wassan Sano of Fantastic Sams in Huntington Beach, California started off with a smooth finish to Hind’s long hair. After curling just the ends, she added a precise side-part and smoothed the strands into a ponytail low and to one side. Sections within the ponytail were pin curled, twisted, and pinned up into place leaving a fan-like effect in back with cascading coils in front.

Swept Pinnup - FS-10-1178

Soft, roller-set curls were back-combed at the root for lift and then pinned up leaving the ends sprigging upward. Jacinda Higgins of Fantastic Sams in Corona, California added an ornate accessory to complete Hillary’s elegant and sweeping up-style.

Elegance and Grace FS-10-1177

Large luster-rich curls provide the perfect foundation for Hengameh’s elegant hairstyle. Maria Mednia of Fantastic Sams in San Pedro, California started with a smooth surface, added large curls and then pinned sizeable sections back to form a cascading effect. Height on top was grounded with long but piece-y bangs and then a few small accessories were added for a hint of elegance.

Mohawk Plaits - FS-10-1176

Kim Wade of Fantastic Sams in Norco, California went tribal for Autumn’s hairstyle. Neatly braided vertical sections are plaited close to the scalp with very precise partings while the length along a Mohawk line is backcombed for height and then twisted and pinned into place. Feathers add both a splash of color and random flicks of texture to complete this headdress-inspired look.

Elegantly Up TDS-10-1144

Nicole Ankenman (of The David Salon) created a white-hot hue for Diana with a couple of sultry caramel blonde panels for depth.

For this elegant up-style, Nicole took smaller sections of dry hair and curled all over with a medium iron. She placed the length into a ponytail and then looped and twisted one-inch sections, pinning each up visually in back until all sections were up.

Towering Texture AKD-10-1135

A towering shape with tons of touchable but nest-like texture.

Add texture spray to damp strands before blow-drying completely. Hot roller set one-inch sections of hair that were misted with thermal spray.

Once set, undo the rollers and divide the hair up from ear to ear. A small ponytail was created at the crown, which was threaded through three donut-shaped forms. Pin sections up around the sides of the forms. Swoop the front heavily to one side and then pin in. Backcomb and lift up while misting with finishing spray to hold.

Curly Mohawk AKD-10-1134

A water-swept look with height on top and flowing movement all over.

Mist texture spray on towel-dried hair before blow-drying completely. Set two-inch sections of hair in a brick laid pattern rolling all sections back on an extra-large curling iron. Each section was first sprayed with thermal spray, curled and then was pinned up to cool. Unpin, tease hair and then smooth back over the surface with a comb. Take sections on the sides and pin them back tight to your head.

Plume of Curls AKD-10-1133

With a deep brunette tone and ultra-short baby bangs this look goes for smoothness in front and a contrast of texture everywhere else.

Apply texture blowing your hair bone dry. Set the bottom half taking two-inch sections, spraying each with working spray and rolling the section under on a medium curling iron. Slide the iron out and then pin the barrel curl up to cool. Undo and loosen sections with fingers. Grab random pieces, twist and pin them up with the ends sprigging upward.
