A sexy pony, these long layers offer a very voluptuous, Brigitte Bardot sort of appeal.
Tease dry hair on top for height and then gather your length into a high ponytail, securing it with a coated elastic band. Wrap a section of hair around the band to conceal it and then finger style the length into place.
This edgy pin-up flaunts a ponytail-esque vibe.
Start with dry, volumized hair and tease sections at the root. Starting at the bottom, twist sections and pin them up along a modified Mohawk line into the center of the head. Once all sections were pinned up, tease a bit more to add mass and then piece out the ends using working spray.
An elegant up-style rolled up and intertwined sections pinned up in back.
Power-dry your damp hair with just your fingers. Mist sections with working spray and form large pin curls, clipping them up to cool. Undo the clips and work back through the sections, rolling and pinning each up at the back of your head.
STart with volumized, slightly curly and teased hair. Fashion a pomp in front and then take random pieces back at the sides, sewing them into place with embroidery thread while allowing the curls or waves to cascade to one side. After sewing the back into place, add elastic bands in two places along the length and then pulled a few strands to cause the hair to billow into pillow-like poofs along the pony. After finger styling everything into place, mist with Session Spray for a pliable hold.
Vintage finger waves wander through this short bob, starting with some natural wave.
Create very deep finger waves using a fine-toothed comb and styling clips on damp hair that has been applied with styling cream. Braid the very back just at the bottom and pin into place. After drying completely, then remove the clips from the finger waves and detail delicate pieces into place using pomade.

Fantastic Sams
Keeping with the vintage 40s look, but with her own artistic flair, Ryan started the updo with damp hair. She applied styling cream all over and then took a large Mohawk section on top of Jessica’s head all the way back to the occipital bone. She roller set this section on large rollers and then smoothed the rest of the hair to the side and formed a ponytail. Ryan flower-pieced sections within the ponytail onto one-inch rollers and then sat Jessica under a hood dryer.
Super sleek strands make for a polished updo with barrel rolls and a large chignon.
Start with super sleek and shiny hair. Smooth strands back into a very tight ponytail and then create large barrel curls with wide sections of hair within the pony. Pin each section securely into the base of the ponytail and then adorn with delicate accessories.
