Salon Magazine, the producers of the Canadian Hairstylist of the Year Awards has announced the Contessa 2017 Award winners. These are the most creative and inspirational artists that have proven to be amongst the country's best hairstylists. Congratulations to all of this year's winners and nominees!
Australian Award Winner
Jason Fassbender has been named the 2017 Australian Hairdresser of the Year at the Schwarzkopf Professional Hair Expo Awards Gala in Sydney tonight, the first time a South Australian hairdresser has taken out the title in the 32-year history of the awards.
Kao Acquires Oribe
Kao USA Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Kao Corporation, a manufacturer and marketer of beauty brands recognized around the world, announced today it has signed an agreement to acquire Oribe Hair Care, LLC from its owners, including Luxury Brand Partners, LLC. Daniel Kaner, co‐founder and currently co-president of Oribe Hair Care will be named as the president of the newly acquired entity. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The International Salon and Spa Expo(ISSE) took place on January 25-27, 2020, with over 300 vendors exhibiting at the largest professional beauty event on the West Coast.
