Spiked or textured

This very tight clipper cut is topped with a bit of length that is worn spiked up.

Start on damp hair and work in styling gel. Lift with your fingers as you blow dry the top and then pinck and twist sections to add spikes.

This classic short boy’s cut has been highly texturized. A bit of gel is worked through the wet hair then air-dried to unlock the natural wave.

This very tight fade on the sides and back ends with spiked length on top.

Apply a small a amount of gel while pinching and twisting small sections on top.

Take small horizontal sections in front and vertical sections in back, twisting them tight to the head while directing the sections back towards the crown. After being pinned in at the top of the head, the ends are left sprigging outward for a plume-like effect.

A heavily texturized look was created using a classic bob foundation. The highly dimensional color adds to the overall texture with its bold contrast.

To style this very current look, spray gel is applied before the shape is coaxed with a paddle brush while blow-drying. Next the length is flat ironed and then pieced with wax, delicately kicking the ends outward.

Aseries of rich caramel blondes was created with a warmer hue all over. Working in harmony with her cut, the color is very dimensional with a “calico” sort of feel.

This shorter razored style is a modern take on a classic bob. It has been undercut for roundness and features a heavy blunt bang (fringe). Longer disconnected sections on top were razor cut for the maximum in texture.

This edgy look has a choppy texture and disconnected bi-level fringe.

Get The Look: Mix straightening balm and smoothing cream together and work it liberally throughout the damp hair. Use a paddle brush to smooth the shorter fringe while blow-drying. Finger-tousle the remainder of the hair with low heat for a soft wave. Once dry, scrunch in a texturizing balm through the ends for a piece-y effect within the natural wave. Use a small iron to spot curl a few pieces here and there. Mist with shine spray for a brilliant luster.

A shearly delightful ultra short do, this perky pixie offers a piece-y finish.

Get The Look: Apply Framesi Volumizing Mousse to damp hair before blow-drying using just your fingers to lift sections up from the root. Once completely dry, add Glacier Wax to spike hair out a bit more. Pinch and twist sections around your face to finish.
