Timeless Bob TDS-10-1141

A sleek shoulder length bob with a sultry side bang.

Apply a nickel-size amount of styling gel through damp strands and then root lift was added on at the root for lift. Pull up on top to add volume as you blow-dry sections with a round brush. Once dry, smooth a flat iron over thin sections for sleekness. Tease small sections at the crown to allow the short layers to pop a bit. Add a small dab of pomade to lightly piece the ends.

Square Layers TDS-10-1139

A fun shoulder-length style with square layers for volume and a slight angle in the front for the feeling of exaggerated length.

To create this volumized, flippy style, mist thermal spray onto damp strands and then added mousse at the base before blowing the hair dry with a round brush. Take two-inch sections and pull up on top while drying, turning the brush several times to create lift, volume and roundness through the length.  On the ends, switch to a medium round brush and roll the ends upward. To finish off the style, mist with volumizing spray.

Swept Up Pompadour TDS-10-1137

The David Salon’s Kristin Wilson lightened up Amanda’s color giving her a chunky platinum highlight with a rich, medium brown lowlight for amazing depth. She produced a shorter razor cut with lots of texture and movement. For a sleek style, a dime-size amount of Aveda Flax Seed Aloe Strong Hold Sculpting Gel was applied all over before blow-drying with a half-sized paddle brush. Once dry, Kristin flat ironed for a smooth finish and then kicked out some pieces for texture using a dab of Aveda Custom Control. Panels were pinned back into a classically inspired pompadour.

Timeless Coif PON-10-1132

Nazia’s cut is a classic bob shape that PON International stylist Steven Villa shattered so that it looks like an A-line. He added volume on top and head-hugging smoothness on the bottom for a distinct finish.

For her color he richened up her base to a sultry dark brown and then infused soft highlights in the red-brown range. This gave a more natural-looking dimension that is well suited for her face shape and coloring.

Choppy Midlength PON-10-1131

For Kendra, Pon created a shaggy, layered mid length cut with straight-across bangs that are lightly chipped into. Next he applied a rich cinnamon base and then added soft caramel highlights using panels for sort of a “peek-a-boo” effect underneath.

Shattered Midlength PON-10-1128

Brittany’s cut is a shaggy mid length look with longer and softer bangs that blend into the side layers. For her color, Pon created a rich auburn hue and pulled golden and red highlights through for soft dimension.

Bob Perfection PON-10-1125

A timeless layered A-line bob that rests at the middle of the neck in back and drops drastically into points in the front with a heavy swoop bang.

Mist styling spray all over and then add mousse at the root. After blow-drying with a round brush and pulling up on top to provoke volume, the ends are flat ironed. Add styling spray and tease at the root for more volume. Mist with shine spray and finishing spray for luster and hold.

Two-Toned Waves PON-10-1120

Lindsay had grown out, bra length hair, which stylist Sara Wayne (of PON International in Anaheim Hills, California) cut into a longer, shattered A-line bob. She added a short side bang and shattered layers all over for movement.

Lindsay’s color before was a darker natural (level 7) ash blonde. Sara applied a circle of super blonde on top then did three slices of dark auburn brown and one slice of caramel around the halo.  Underneath she added a shade darker to an almost medium brown for the ultimate depth.
