AP12-1424-Intertwined Mohawk
For Ilana’s all-up style, April produced a very intricately braided and intertwined Mohawk that she says mimics the feel of a braided leather belt. She started with four ponytails along a Mohawk line, each created to point in a different direction. The very front was applied with a four-strand French plait that was braided straight up. It was lightly twisted and placed on top like a Danish roll.
The next ponytails are four-strand braided and rolled over and spread out for more width and coverage, with the ends tucked in to finish. Each one spans out in a different direction, like a lattice fence, but all together they form a very balanced finished look.
