Sections of dry hair aremisted with working spray and rolled onto hot rollers, alternating between the medium and large sizes. Once cooled, the rollers are undone and the hair is worked back through by hand.
The heavy bang is left out while the rest of the hair is backcombed at the base for lift. Dana took a swoop from either side in the front to the nape in back and pinned it into place. Next she fanned out curls then finished with a medium hold spray.

For a curl-laced upstyle, large and medium hot rollers are added along with a working spray for increased hold. Once curls are set, unclip the hot rollers and undo the curlers. Work back through by hand, pin up sections until the shape looks right and then finish with a medium hold spray.

For a soft new age volume, medium sized sections are loosely curled with a large barrel curling iron starting at the temples on down. Once the entire head is done the curls are worked back through carefully breaking them up by hand.
This same volumous look can easily be swept up and worked into large loops or pin curls on top of the head. Each section is pinned into place and dusted with medium hold spray.

For an undone textured look, sections are dusted with a working spray and curled on a one-inch iron. The curls are worked back through by hand to break up a bit. A large section of hair in front is rolled back and pinned into place for a pompadour sort of feel.

This classic shoulder length cut by Katrina Halliwell of Alexander’s Grand Salon & Spa has low layers for movement, a very long, heavy bang and a slight A-line quality overall. Her color is a warm honey chestnut with creamy blonde highlights done as a partial weave.
For Suzanne, Studio C stylist Jeff Stump started with a stunning platinum hue then created lots of texture with short and croppy layers. For the heavy fringe, a defined edge is broken up with highly shattered ends thus combining texture and strong lines.
Camille’s naturally curly hair is quite a handful to deal with each morning. To give her a more refined look, “Tigerlights” or highlights are applied for soft accents and depth within the curl pattern. Over the top a coppery red brown translucent color seals in a rich tone all over.
To tame the “wild child” curls into softer waves, the wet hair is applied with Paul Mitchell Sculpting Foam and Sculpting Lotion before hood drying. Soft finger waves are created on top while the balance is loop curled on a large barreled iron for larger bends and waves.
Pon International stylist and hair extension specialist Jaime Queenin takes Sandra’s mid length bob to ravishing new lengths. Using the Great Lengths technique, she applies both length and volume with approximately 250 strands of 100% human hair extensions. Because the extensions are authentic human hair (versus synthetic), they can be colored or permed and thermal styling tools can be used just like with one’s own natural hair. In this case, Sanrda’s extensions are customized to match her existing color, which is a soft blonde on top and a light brown for depth underneath.
