Erin’s hair is naturally straight and fine but she has a fair amount of it. The length was to her mid back in a blonde shade that was achieved at home with a “sun in” type product. In addition to having her color corrected, Erin desired a new and more grown up look to her overly long strands.

PON International stylist Mandi Bevando started the new look by cutting off 10 inches of hair, which was proudly donated to Locks of Love - a non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to children suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. Next she created a mid length bob that had a robustly rounded flavor. Being a dancer, Erin needed to be able to pull her hair back off her face but still wanted a shorter and more refined look. Her hair also tends to go flat on top so Mandi gave her extra layers to pop up the volume, then added layers around her face to delicately frame it.

For the color, Mandi highlighted to soften the blonde then added Erin’s natural tone into the back and low lighted through the top. The end result is more of a beigey blonde versus a yellow blonde so it blends better with her natural tone and accents her skin tone.

To style, Top Whip mousse by Goldwell was applied all over before blow-drying with round brush for volume. After teasing the hair slightly at the root on top, Mandi used PON International Ponder Powder sprinkling it on the base or scalp area for added texture. Light Kiss by Goldwell was sprayed over the surface to offer a picture perfect finish.
