Heather had length just barely to her shoulders and she desperately wanted long and luxurious locks. To oblige, hair extension specialist Nicole Martin of Art started by freshening up her color. Heather’s previously colored hair had some (level 6-7) regrowth so Nicole applied a heavy weave then added a gloss over the top to instill shine.

To prepare the hair for the extensions, she blew the damp strands dry and flat ironed everything smooth.  Next Nicole added two rows of micro-bead wefts in back then applied individual extensions through the sides to help blend with the natural hair’s short layers. After all of the extensions were in, long layers were cut to help blend in and soften any transition.

For an everyday look, Nicole applied mouse at the base on top for lift and blow-dried with an extra large round brush for volume. An extra large or 1.5-inch curling iron was used to bend or roll the ends for a well put-together edge. Last, pomade was utilized for separation and a firm hold spray to finish.
