Vanessa had flat, undimensional dark brown hair with overgrown long layers. To create a new look Cosmos stylists and co-owner Sandra Lee Barbetta took the color to a rich cool brown with slashes of cool blonde to break everything up. Her shattered shag is disconnected through the crown with highly texturzed ends.
To style root boost and a thermal activated styling spray are applied before blow-drying with a medium large round brush. When completely dry, the length is flat ironed for control while kicking the ends out slightly. A small amount of smoothing cream is used to work back through while wax is applied to piece the ends slightly,
For a partial up style the top is backcombed for volume while pieces are twisted and pinned up at the sides. The entire length can also be swept up, twisting and pinning for a complete up style.
