Inspired by classical paintings and editorial collections with intricate set design, Lyndal Salmon of BIBA salon crafted dramatic and exaggerated shapes that incorporate theatricality and quirkiness. She played on the tropes associated with women in early cinema, the maiden, and the femme fatale, but still emphasized that in modern society; each woman has the power to go beyond these tropes. Women are complex beings and now, more than ever, are able to express that complexity.
