Jenna’s natural curl was utilized to instill a robust fullness to her rich black strands. The style was produced using a straw set with Smooth Down Heat Glide by Redken, which was applied all over on towel-dried hair. More product was added to each section before wrapping around the straws to form a spiral set. Jenna was then placed under a hood dryer with low heat to dry.

Tracy wanted to create a finished look that was a collision of textures -- hard and soft alike, with a very “Joan Jett” inspired finish.

To start off the look, she initiated the color by using a combination of medium red violet toned brown, very dark violet toned brown, and panels of bright red violet sneaking out from the interior. 

Erika has a shaggy mid length style, with “barbed” length and bold stepped fringe around her face. To style, the hair was blown dry with a Denman brush in the natural fall position using Velvet Gelatine from the new “underground inspired” Urban Experiment collection of styling products by Redken. 

For a softly side swept look, sculpting foam is applied all over while root boost is used at the base. After rough-drying, the hair is set in small hot rollers along with a working spray and allowed to cool. Each roller is undone, lightly applied with pomade and directed back, rolled over to the side, then is pinned into place and finished with a medium hold spray.

Big hair is back! To create this look, sculpting foam is applied all over while root boost is used at the base. After rough-drying, the hair is set in small hot rollers along with a working spray and allowed to cool. Each roller is undone, lightly applied with pomade. A medium hold spray allows for long lasting hold.

Sections of dry hair aremisted with working spray and rolled onto hot rollers, alternating between the medium and large sizes. Once cooled, the rollers are undone and the hair is worked back through by hand.

The heavy bang is left out while the rest of the hair is backcombed at the base for lift. Dana took a swoop from either side in the front to the nape in back and pinned it into place. Next she fanned out curls then finished with a medium hold spray.

Ashley  has thin and fine hair with some natural curl. Her light brown shoulder length hair had previous dark blonde highlights with several inches of regrowth. Her new longer layers are cut diagonally, then extensions are added for both length and volume. Her new color is highly dimensional mix of red, blondes and copper. Using a block coloring technique, the right side is applied with a rectangle of solid golden blonde, which allows for an all-blonde feel when the hair is parted on that side.

This shoulder-touching cut involves a mid length overall with long layers and a heavy fringe. Blocks of roxy red offset triangular sections of baby blonde over the ears.

For a smooth look, shine spray as well as root boost are applied for lift before blow-drying with a round brush. Once completely dry, the hair is smoothed with a flat iron and bumped slightly on the ends by dragging an extra large iron over the surface.  The ends are pieced lightly with pomade to finish.

This classic shoulder length cut by Katrina Halliwell of Alexander’s Grand Salon & Spa has low layers for movement, a very long, heavy bang and a slight A-line quality overall. Her color is a warm honey chestnut with creamy blonde highlights done as a partial weave.
