This short and shattered shape is cropped at the nape and disconnected at the hairline. An asymmetrical bang disconnects from the sides. For her color, a soft baby blonde is applied all over then rectangular highlights and triangular low lights are worked back through for dimension. Root boost is applied for lift before blow-drying with a round brush. After flat ironing, Mohawk was created with a hard gel worked into her baby fine hair.

This edgy, wispy style offers up some uniquely tasty flavor.Inspired by a section of mink-like fur, this cut is a very broken up Pageboy but with a rounded silhouette. All of the tips are lightened to a dark ash blonde through a dark brown base. The lighter edges were flat ironed straight versus under like most traditional Pageboys. A thermal styling serum was used to help give a unique twist to a timeless classic.

To style, a straightening balm and a gloss product were cocktailed together and applied all over her towel-dried hair.  Mousse was also worked in all over then using just her fingers, Katrina blow-dried to remove all moisture. Once completely dry, a cream pomade was used to piece, then a strong hold spray and spray shine was dusted over the surface for luster and long-lasting hold.

To control the naturally curly hair, Tracy started the style off with a polished blow-dry to give a good foundation. Redken Satin Wear ultimate blow dry lotion was applied through the towel-dried hair and Guts was worked in at the root before blow-drying with a round brush for polish and shine. Once completely dry, small sections of hair are braided tight to the head up and around the ear, following the hairline all the way up to the parietal ridge.

Tracy wanted to create a finished look that was a collision of textures -- hard and soft alike, with a very “Joan Jett” inspired finish.

To start off the look, she initiated the color by using a combination of medium red violet toned brown, very dark violet toned brown, and panels of bright red violet sneaking out from the interior.

This short textured cut by Jay Philavong has an 80’s Mohawk influence. It can be worn messy all over or toned down when feeling conservative. With a punked edge, this look is scissor cut using a point cutting technique to create the shape and texture, then is personalized with thinning shears to give a soft finish around the fringe.

For the color, Jay created a dark brown base then placed red violet highlights along with a hint of copper.

Starting off the collection, this ultra short retro inspired cut by Mehran, owner of Salon Boucle (in Anaheim Hills, California), is highly geometric in nature. It features a very short back with length on top that creates a V in back, which blends into a C shape on the side. It’s a very fun cut with fans of color that nicely complement each other. A rich chocolate brown was applied in back and underneath to give depth while blonde and caramel is worked through the “Mohawk-like” section on top for contrast and texture.
