April’s cut by Nicole Ankenman of The David Salon is a classic bob with short graduated layers in back with shattered texture around the edge and framing her face. Her color is a dark warm golden brown base with sultry copper gold highlights placed throughout.

For a sleek rounded style, Nicole applied a cocktail of smoothing serum and a styling spray all over on towel dried hair. She blow-dried with a paddle brush then once dry, she smoothed pomade over the surface to add luster as well as to piece the ends for increased texture.

These big, boldly bouncy curls were created by applying Redken Spray Starch on completely dry hair, applying section by section.  Each section was then set on an “old school” pink sponge roller and placed under a very hot dryer for 20 minutes.  After cooling for 45 minutes, the hair was taken down and using their fingers, the team rouged and roughly feathered the hair, layering in Redken Workforce 9 flexible volumizing spray as they continued to build the desired volume.

Carter cut the length and then created a sultry graduated bob with a heavy fringe. A quarter-size amount of WIO was worked through her damp hair before blow-drying with a round brush for volume. Slush Gloss Drops and Light Mist hair spray created the perfect finishing touches for this smooth look.

This finished look involves a highly unique texture with a classically inspired shape. To initiate the texture, her dry hair was curled with an Ergo Ondule iron in a figure-8 pattern (or S curls) in small sections using Redken Fabricate 03 (heat activated texturizer). After the entire head was curled, Redken Workforce 09 (flexible volumizing spray) was layered in to sculpt while pinning the hair into place creating a pompadour shape on top and a “DA” in back.

The color result is created using a very rich warm brown with large panels of golden blonde buried within to create high impact contrast without too hard of an edge.

The wig was created from the ground up by the ColorWorks Artistic Team using hair that was custom colored, placed very purposefully and cut into the “mod” feeling and rounded shape.   The cut features a semi-solid shape with soft beveled edges and a rounded fringe.

This cut is a graduated bob with asymmetrical sides with a strong fringe.The color features a darkest brown base with a medium blonde halo placed underneath to add roundness and dimension to the cut.

To style, Cibu Maximum Volumizing Mousse was worked in all over on damp hair. After blow-drying with a round boar bristle brush for volume, a Denman brush was then used to smooth out the fringe. Cibu Sashini Thermal Shine Solution was then sprayed all over and then the hair was tousled slightly for a hint of movement through the solid shape.
