Long

Windblown Waves - FS-10-1199

Daisey wanted to soften up her look and add a more feminine flare so Patti Mead of Fantastic Sams in Yorba Linda, California started by lightening up the base color and adding highlights on top. Next, she cut long layers and added a side-bang. Straightening balm was worked through towel-dried hair before blow-drying with a round brush and flat ironing to add control through the bang. Long spirals were created with a curling rod and were broken up with Patti’s fingers to soften the curls.

Sleekly Side-Swept - FS-10-1198

Brooke always wanted to be a blonde. To make that happen and look natural, Corona, California based stylist Magda Nieblas of Fantastic Sams kept a block of Brooke’s dark hair underneath and then heavy highlighted with several shades of darker blond and light toasty brown through the top. She cleaned up the ends and then added long layers and a side-bang. Styling lotion and volumizing spray were layered onto damp hair before blow-drying with a paddle brush. A very deep side-part was created before smoothing a flat iron through the length.

VPS12-1436-Fabulously Flared

Gretchen’s long, lovely locks feature diagonal forward layers with long, swooping bangs. After creating this cut, Victor Paul - owner of Victor Paul Salon, added a few copper accent pieces through her golden honey blonde hair for a unique but soft dimension.

VPS12-1441- Accent Braid

Kaitlyn Watson of Victor Paul Salon in Costa Mesa, California took Laurissa’s long layered cut and weaved in some lighter shades through her naturally dark blonde base for a very dimensional golden blonde hue.

VPS12-1437-Pin-up Pretty

Gretchen’s long, lovely locks feature diagonal forward layers with long, swooping bangs. To create this pinned up look, first Enjoy Conditioning Spray was applied to help with detangling and then Volumizing Mouse was worked into the root for lift. Thermal Spray was misted on all over to add hold as well as thermal protection. Victor blow-dried the hair straight using a large round brush for control. Once completely dry, he took small sections and curled each around a one-inch iron leaving a tighter, bouncy coil.

AP12-1426-Sultry Volume

For Ilana’s down style, about four pumps of the Framesi Argan Oil from the Hair Treatment Line were worked through and distributed using just fingertips. Framesi Identity, Protect It was misted on all over and then the hair was rough-dried to remove moisture and manipulate the growth. A few pumps of Framesi Identity Expand volumizing cream were worked in starting at the ends and working upward.

AP12-1425-Butterfly Effect

A small amount of Framesi Argan Oil was worked in before blow-drying and smoothing through with a round brush to introduce a bend. Brush-wide sections were rolled into a clockwise piggy tail like ribbon of curl, which was scooped up and pinned against the head to cool. Once cool, the pins were undone and then April fingered through with more oil.  This technique gives a softer-at-the-base style with more curl at the ends.  It’s a very feminine and natural looking with an almost windblown effect.

Bohemian Waves NMH-10-1152

Nicole Martin weaved her long locks with two colors of blond, low lighting with a medium blond for serious depth. Next, she took large triangular sections of dry hair and wrapped each in a zigzag pattern around her fingers while held in a V-shape. Leaving the ends out, she set the sections with a scrunchie, placed a hairnet over the surface to hold and then hit the hair with a blow dryer for five minutes on medium heat.
