Cristina had shoulder length hair that was damaged and too thin on the ends by previous over zealous razor cutting. Her color was nothing exciting with a basic dark brown.

Stephanie Estes of Pon International created a new look starting with the color. First she placed a few foils through the bangs or fringe to create face-framing effects. She took the entire head to a slightly darker, almost chestnut color then added a coppery gold for the highlights.

For the cut, she created a blunt edge with a slight length in front for an a-line quality. Not wanting a typical bob sort of look, she just took up the layers a bit in back to slightly exaggerate the shape. Next she used twist cutting to texturize the hair.

To style, Goldwell Top Whip mousse was concentrated on the crown and worked through the ends on towel-dried hair. While blow-drying with a round brush, the top was over-directed volume while the ends were directed downward for less volume. Once dry, the hair was flat ironed from the roots to the ends then Pon International Pon-der Powder was applied at the root, Scatter FX spray wax and a strong hold spray was used all over to finish.
