Stylist Elaine Nicdao took Jill’s grown out A-line style and created an ultra-short layered cut that was done at a 90-degree angle all around. She kept the perimeter soft and textured. The bangs were cut cheek length then swept exaggerated to the side. The top was cut short around the crown with length towards the bangs. The bangs themselves were under cut thus creating two separate levels, which boldly show off the exaggeration of the fringe area.

This classic Firefly with short layers has an exaggerated bang, which was undercut to lay perfectly.

To style naturally wavy hair, smoothing cream is applied all over then is flat-wrapped starting with the bangs in the opposite direction. Wrap dry in the opposing direction until about 90 % dry and then dry the last 10% in the direction you want the hair to go. Once dry use a light spray to finish.

Priscilla Jones of Fantastic Sams in Rancho Cucamonga, California created a short all over cut for Antonio with uniquely long and pointed sideburns. To unlock his natural texture, a dab of styling cream was worked in before allowing his hair to airdry.

Add styling lotion (curl enhancing if you have natural texture) and styling spray at the root in the very front. Blow dry in small sections using a small round brush. Roll section in front around the brush and use tension while you roll the brush several times to coax lift and curve at the root. Dry the rest of the length smooth. Work a dab of styling paste through to finalize.
