Bombshell Waves - NM-11-1272

Nicole took larger sections, misted the hair with Heated Defense to protect hair from the heat as well as giving a medium hold, wrapped each briefly around a small curling iron to warm up the hair and then threaded sections through a wave clip. Lower sections of hair from underneath were wrapped around a medium roller.

Curl Power - NM-11-1270

One-inch square sections of dry hair were sprayed with Heated Defense, a thermal protectant, and wrapped tightly around a ½-inch curling iron. Once all sections were curled and cooled, Nicole utilized a wide-toothed comb just at the base to add volume. She added Powder Puff volumizing powder at the root to give an almost sponginess to the frothy texture, leaving coiled tentacles through the ends. The end result is a very modern fro-like coif with lots of flirty bounce.

Fullness Overload - NM-11-1269

Before, Kelsie had naturally kinky, frizzy, shoulder length hair that had damage at the ends. Her color was a mousy brown at the base that faded into brassy ends.

Nicole weaved in dark blonde and light brown to even out the tone and then added a clear gloss over the top to level the porosity, add shine and seal in the color. Next, she cut a few inches off the ends and added long layers to control the natural curl as well as give Kelsie’s strands volume.

Broken Up Waves - FS-11-1260

Ashley’s naturally fine and straight hair was brightened up by adding some warm tones and then was worked into soft, flow-y curls to keep with the 50’s sort of image. To style, Ryan started with damp hair, applied styling cream and roller set medium to large pie-shaped slices using one-inch rollers. After drying the hair completely under a hood dryer, she undid the rollers and finger-styled everything into place. She touched up with a one-inch iron at the ends to give a current, broken up look.

Jellyfish Coils - SK-11-1257

A jellyfish cut offers long curly tentacles of different lengths while sultry copper and vibrant gold hues add warmth and depth.

Starting with damp naturally curly hair, layer on curl enhancing lotion and leave-in conditioner. Run your fingers through strands to distribute the product, moisturize hair, smooth the cuticle and control the frizz. Grab random pieces of hair and twirl them around a finger, allowing the sections to slip from your hands. A soft hold finishing spray is used for support and then allow the curls to air-dry.
