Alexis had long, one-length, “dirty” blonde hair that simply washed her out. PON International stylists Jacqueline Petruzzelli and Tayja Avila teamed up to give her a completely new and modernized look.

Jacqueline started the transformation with the color. She richened up the base to a warm golden brown and then added golden panels in the front and bronzy lowlights for depth. She made the placement of the color convertible or transitional. As the hair is moved around or styled differently, like changing the part, the color takes on a different look.

Tayja took over and cut a better length for Alexis. She applied a sleek, classic A-line shape and then added side bangs that blended into the sides. Soft layering created movement and allowed versatility that works well with the transitional color.

To style, PON International Elevatë was worked in at the crown and then Turn it up styling spray was layered on. Tayja blow-dried the front with a flat brush, smoothing the hair against the shape of Alexis’ head in varied directions and then switched to a round brush to add volume just on top. Once completely dry, Pon-der Powder was worked into the root at the crown for lift and then the ends were flat ironed outward for a swooping effect. Last Dü da dü styling paste was used to pinch and twist small sections along the edge for a piece-y finish.
