Glassy Waves NMH-10-1152

Smooth roots take a turn into glassy waves through the length of this lengthy hairstyle.

Take one-inch sections of dry hair, mist with styling spray and wrap it tightly onto a tapered curling rod. Continue with all sections, wrapping in the same direction until all hair is done. Apply a small amount of styling lotion on your hands before roughing up the waves with your fingers. Add shine spray for luster.

Bohemian Waves NMH-10-1152

Nicole Martin weaved her long locks with two colors of blond, low lighting with a medium blond for serious depth. Next, she took large triangular sections of dry hair and wrapped each in a zigzag pattern around her fingers while held in a V-shape. Leaving the ends out, she set the sections with a scrunchie, placed a hairnet over the surface to hold and then hit the hair with a blow dryer for five minutes on medium heat.

Flower Power Midlength NMH-10-1151

For Sara (R.), Nicole started with a white-hot platinum hue and then created a series of big bends through her above-shoulder length. She took a one-inch rod, twisted large sections of dry hair around the rod and let them cool. A nickel-size amount of Kevin Murphy Motion Lotion was worked through the hair to separate the curls. Next, she back-combed in the crown for height and sewed some pieces together in back using light thread for a foundation and to secure the lift.

Stylist Nicole Martin weaved this natural chestnut brown hair with a deep blue-red and a deep red highlight and then added a clear gloss over the top for shine. A walnut-size amount of Kevin Murphy Anti Gravity volumizing texturizer liquid and Hair Resort strong hold texurizer were worked through her damp hair before blow-drying with a paddle brush. Three-inch wide panels of dry hair were pressed with a three-barrel iron all the way down each section leaving a rippled texture all the way through her strands.

Elegantly Up TDS-10-1144

Nicole Ankenman (of The David Salon) created a white-hot hue for Diana with a couple of sultry caramel blonde panels for depth.

For this elegant up-style, Nicole took smaller sections of dry hair and curled all over with a medium iron. She placed the length into a ponytail and then looped and twisted one-inch sections, pinning each up visually in back until all sections were up.

Soft Wave TDS-10-1143

Nicole Ankenman of The David Salon created a white-hot hue for Diana with a couple of sultry caramel blonde panels for depth. Her long shattered layers were the perfect foundation for this softly wavy style. Nicole started the look by applying a quarter-size amount of Aveda Smooth Infusion Glossing Straightener all over Diana’s damp strands. After blow-drying with a paddle brush, she curled two-inch square sections around a large curling iron and then finger-styled everything into place. Aveda Brilliant medium hold hairspray was misted over the top for soft hold and shine.

Blonde Transition PON-10-1125

Wavy layers start with smooth roots with sultry side-swept bangs.

Add mousse at the root and styling spray all over on towel-dry hair before blow-drying with a round brush, pulling up on top for volume. Start with dry hair and apply working spray on sections before using a curling rod to bend pieces low on the strand.

Two-Toned Waves PON-10-1120

Lindsay had grown out, bra length hair, which stylist Sara Wayne (of PON International in Anaheim Hills, California) cut into a longer, shattered A-line bob. She added a short side bang and shattered layers all over for movement.

Lindsay’s color before was a darker natural (level 7) ash blonde. Sara applied a circle of super blonde on top then did three slices of dark auburn brown and one slice of caramel around the halo.  Underneath she added a shade darker to an almost medium brown for the ultimate depth.

Piecey Waves PON-10-1117

Jessica had old natural grown out highlights through her bra length hair. Pon created a fresh look by applying a medium brown base and highlighting through for soft dimension.

He took off some length then added layers and soft bangs for subtle movement through her new style. Pon applied PON International Turn it up styling spray all over and Elevate at the root before blow-drying with a round brush for volume.

Flirty Curls PON-10-1114

Carolina’s hair was long with grown out layers with a faded brown color. Her natural (level 6) light brown shade had some previous color and she was frustrated with the frizziness with her natural wave.

Kaytee Varchetto of PON International in Anaheim Hills, California brought up the length about four inches then textured the perimeter of Carolina’s hair. She added layers at the crown and around her face and a heavy, jagged bang.
