These big, boldly bouncy curls were created by applying Redken Spray Starch on completely dry hair, applying section by section.  Each section was then set on an “old school” pink sponge roller and placed under a very hot dryer for 20 minutes.  After cooling for 45 minutes, the hair was taken down and using their fingers, the team rouged and roughly feathered the hair, layering in Redken Workforce 9 flexible volumizing spray as they continued to build the desired volume.

This dazzling darling is draped in textured tresses. A creative mix of contrasts with mostly curl, but a bold arched fringe and a few straight pieces to poke out of the mix here and there. For the color, a splash of light unveils a softer hidden quality through a rich medium brown base.

Jenna’s natural curl was utilized to instill a robust fullness to her rich black strands. The style was produced using a straw set with Smooth Down Heat Glide by Redken, which was applied all over on towel-dried hair. More product was added to each section before wrapping around the straws to form a spiral set. Jenna was then placed under a hood dryer with low heat to dry.

For Tiffani Studio C stylist and salon owner Leonard Castro created a look where the cut and the color work hand in hand to allow the most depth and dimension.  Darker brown panels underneath instill depth while the lighter and very fine gold, amber and bronze pieces on the top show the disconnection and texture in the cut.

Leonard pin curled the hair using B Curly by Aveda to create a highly textured finish. Once the hair is set he undid the curls and worked back through, piecing with Defining Whip to create a soft, yet volumous feel.

This longer men’s style rocks some perfectly placed dreadlocks.

Get The Look: Create square sections all over. Starting close to the scalp use a dread comb and comb repeatedly towards the scalp. Eventually hair will start to pack up at the roots. Roll the hair you are holding between your fingers a little while you are backcombing. Continue backcombing, slowly working towards the ends of the hair, making the dread as tight as possible as you go. When you reach the ends secure the dread with a rubber band and add dread wax that does not contain petroleum.

Perfect coils allow this short bouncy hairstyle to come alive.

Get The Look: Starting on dry hair, mist sections with shine spray and wrap tightly around an extra small curling iron. Hold in place a few seconds to set the curl and then release, keeping the curl intact. Continue taking various sized sections and curling until all hair is done. Mist with shine spray.

A swoop in front leads to an explosion of texture for the over the top bridal look.

Get The Look: Apply curl-enhancing mousse on damp hair and wrap hair around spiral curling rods. Allow to air-dry and then undo rods.  Run fingers through to undo sections. Mist the bangs in front with styling spray and blow dry with a round brush leaving a big swoop in front. Add a headband veil and pull sections through for a bold finish.
