Curly

VPS12-1435-Curly Ques

With a soft champagne-blonde hue, Christy’s short A-line bob offers a slightly retro edginess coupled with a polished femininity. Created by Chanel Marshall of Victor Paul Salon in Costa, Mesa, California, the cut is graduated up the back with slight length in front and a heavy side-bang. A straight razor was used for texturizing all over to personalize the cut.

VPS12-1437-Pin-up Pretty

Gretchen’s long, lovely locks feature diagonal forward layers with long, swooping bangs. To create this pinned up look, first Enjoy Conditioning Spray was applied to help with detangling and then Volumizing Mouse was worked into the root for lift. Thermal Spray was misted on all over to add hold as well as thermal protection. Victor blow-dried the hair straight using a large round brush for control. Once completely dry, he took small sections and curled each around a one-inch iron leaving a tighter, bouncy coil.

CTL12-1430-Curly Bob

Carter worked in Framesi BY Strong Mousse and Identity XS TWIST and re-dried with a round brush, lifting up on top for volume. Larger sections were bumped in alternating directions with an extra large iron and then Framesi Identity X-Pand Fibrous Pomade was worked through, finger styling the large bends into place.

Curly A-Line CTL-10-1159

A classic A-line bob with a rich mahogany hue and some delicious honey and brownish-red sparkles running through.

Add a few drops of shine serum to a golf ball size amount of mousse and apply onto and comb through damp hair. At the top, use a small or ½-inch iron and create random curls all over. After undoing the sections slightly with your fingers, apply hairspray over the top to hold.

Curly Asymmetric Bob CTL-10-1155

A stunning layered, asymmetric bob with a curly finish.

Add a few drops of shine serum to a golf ball size amount of mousse and apply onto and comb through damp hair. Take one-inch square sections, roll each round two fingers, slide off and pin flat against your scalp into pin curls. Either allow to air dry or dry completely under a hood dryer. Unpin each dry section and rake through with fingers to undo the curls. Mist hairspray over the surface for a soft, pliable hold for this softly textured style.

Glammed Up NMH-10-1154

Starting with a white-hot platinum hue, a series of big bends wander through this sizzling above-shoulder length.

Apply styling lotion before you blow out the hair with a blow dryer. Start with a deep side-part, rolled two-inch sections onto large hot rollers, rolling all hair under. Once set, undo rollers and back-brush behind each section. Shake hair out using a fingertip-size of styling paste with your head upside down. Touch up random curls with a large iron and then finger-style misting with finishing spray for  hold.

Piecey Texture TDS-10-1147

A sizzling shoulder-length style with medium layers offers a long side fringe for both shape and movement.

Apply a nickel-size amount of styling lotion and work it in for shine. Add root lift at the base and then mist in thermal spray. Blow-dry the hair in sections using a large round brush to pull up on top for volume. For a piece-y texture, take large vertical sections and wrap each around a one-inch curling iron directing the front sections away from your face and the sides and back in alternating directions. Mist hair spray on over the top for a powerful hold.

Cherry Cola Curls TDS-10-1145

Stylist Tiffany Hernandez applied a high intensity red through her long layers with slices of warmth running through. This left a “cherry cola” flavor to her strands with a rich “root beer” section underneath for depth.

Towering Texture AKD-10-1135

A towering shape with tons of touchable but nest-like texture.

Add texture spray to damp strands before blow-drying completely. Hot roller set one-inch sections of hair that were misted with thermal spray.

Once set, undo the rollers and divide the hair up from ear to ear. A small ponytail was created at the crown, which was threaded through three donut-shaped forms. Pin sections up around the sides of the forms. Swoop the front heavily to one side and then pin in. Backcomb and lift up while misting with finishing spray to hold.
