Stylist Ashley Moon of The David Salon in Costa Mesa, California created a soft series of bends and waves for Kristine’s long, copper red strands. She started with dry hair and cut the ends straight across just below the shoulders then took everything up at 90 degrees and cut straight across once again. This created low layers through the mid section without instilling too much weight.
To style, a leave in conditioner was applied before hand drying. Large sections of hair are dusted with a medium hold spray, curled under with a 1.25-inch curling iron and then are pinned up to set while cooling. After the entire head was done and sections were cooled, the curls were undone and worked back through by hand to lightly break up. Shine spray added the perfect finishing touches to this soft and romantic style.
For a looser wave, Ashley worked through the hair with just her fingers. The end result is a very gentle bend and wave with a more undone appeal.
