Stana Katic's silky locks offer touchable body through her low layering.

Get The Look: Depending on your hair type, start with an appropriate styling product (this is important). Go for smoothing balm if you have coarse, thick, curly or wavy hair, a lightweight styling lotion if you have medium denisty hair or a volumizing lotion, foam or spray if you have thin, fine or super straight hair.

Working in sections (consider starting at the bottom and working your way up, clipping sections out of the way until you are ready to dry them), blow dry with a large round boar bristle brush. Lift the brush/ section to the elevation that you want the body to start and roll the brush several times to create a soft bend through the length. If you want lift at the root, pull hair straight up, but if you want body just the the bottom (like Stana), only lift to the temples. Continue until all sections are done and hair is completely dry. If you still have any unwanted texture left, use a flat iron to smooth the length and lightly bend the ends outward. Shake your hair out, create a center part and tuck one side back. Viola!
