Candice’s hair was grown out in a faded blond hue. Stylist Kathy Reed first took her base to a medium warm brown and then added red copper extensions (by Extend Creations) for a splash of color.

Next Kathy produced a layered cut with a subtle A-line shape. This involved slight length in front, a blunt edge in back and fringe-y bangs. It’s a bolder shape with a highly layered interior including shorter bits in the crown.

A dime-size amount of PON International Sealant leave in conditioner was worked into her towel-dried hair and then Turn it up styling spray was layered on. Two-inch sections were blow-dried at a time using a round brush, pulling up on top for volume. The tips were flat ironed and then Pon Du soy paste was used to piece the ends slightly.

To dress up the shorter length, Kathy took sections on each side and pinned them back, allowing the top to buckle slightly. Small sections were then looped, twisted and turned before pinning them into place for a delicate surface detail. Wispy bits around her face were pieced with more soy paste and then da Flex spray was misted all over for long-lasting hold.
