Alexis’ strands barely touched her shoulders and she was desperately trying to grow her hair out. She was tired of tucking the sides back behind her ears while waiting, so stylist and extension specialist Jaime Queenin used human hair extensions to recreate some much-desired length.

First she added four rows of beaded extensions to match the color and density of Alexis’ real hair. It was a mix of soft blonds with some slightly lighter pieces to match her existing highlights. The Great Lengths system was used through the front so Jaime could fill in closer to the hairline. Once all of the extensions were in, she cut them to blend in.

For a smooth and shattered look, a leave-in conditioner was applied to towel dried hair before blow-drying with a large round brush. Jaime pulled up slightly on top get some lift at the root and to control Alexis’ natural wave. Shine spray was applied before flat ironing sections for a smooth finish. Styling powder was sprinkled in at the root at the crown allow a hint of lift.
