Michael Haase grew up in the colorful world of the European circus. He always found himself surrounded by stunning color and Michael Haaseshape and, at an early age, this influence and a flair for creative artistry became a passion for hair. At the pinnacle of Vidal Sassoon popularity, the company hired Michael after he graduated from beauty school. He soon became the youngest artist to join the team where he shared his creativity and educated to some of the most prestigious audiences in the world. With the help of the leading colorists of London and Paris, Michael found himself working with color powerhouses such as Redken, Wella, Schwarzkopf, Framesi, and L'Oreal. Intricate stitches performed by surgeons, sutures restore or enhance the continuity to the body’s tissue and skin. These precise stitches always pass unnoticed and make any trace of the intervention seamlessly disappear. In his collection dubbed Suture, hair artist Gonzalo Zarauza applied this oh-sew-fun concept to the hair, but with the opposite purpose. The stitches are sewn on the surface of the hair to showcase them. The technique involves purposely weaving through uniform sections using embroidery thread, ending with a tress tapestry of delicate stitch work.

Hair Artist Teresa Weller wanted to create something entirely different for her first signature collection, so she chose an avant-garde approach and created an Edwardian doll-like appeal. Using an on-trend color pallet, Weller created shapes, movement, and textures within the hair to have an under-the-sea feel to them like the doll was found in an old shipwreck, hence the name; treasure chest.
