Pinned-Up Braid

Pinned-Up Braid

Go for an easy pinup with this partially braided hairstyle. Here are the steps to get you there:

1. Start with smooth, dry hair. Take a large section on one side and sub-divide it into three equal sections. Start a classic three-strand braid and with each stitch, add more hair to the section furthest from your face. Continue until you reach the middle of your ear.

2. Continue braiding without picking up any additional hair until you reach the end of the braid. Secure with a small elastic band.

3. Repeat steps one and two on the other side of your head. Pull on each side of the braid to loosen it up. Do the same thing on the first braid.

4. Pin one braid up behind the ear on the other side of your head. Repeat on the other side. Be sure to tuck the ends in and secure them in place. Add more pins as needed to be sure the braids will stay in place.  Mist with a medium hold hairspray to help keep everything in place.
