According to Andre Faiva of Revolution Hairdressing, the inspiration for the Patti & Co collection comes from the heavy fringes of rock icons Patti Smith, Chrissie Hynde, Karen O, and of course Blondie. The series showcases the sexy and strong nature of these woman and the Rock and Roll attitude that permeated throughout their entire look, but especially their bold fringes. a trend the team feels will dominate in the months to come.
"I wanted (this collection) to capture the attitude and strong shape that a fringe created, but with a softer feeling throughout. Each Haircut has a strong fringe in this collection, but the rest of the shape and the fringe itself have a soft, feminine edge," said Andre.
To achieve the texture each haircut offers a strong point cut foundation that was then blow-dried with dry-based products. Once dry, each shape was softly diffused with personalising techniques such as, deep point cutting, slicing, channel cutting, and back cutting. These techniques help soften the shape, but not break it down too much.
"There is very little heated style tools used throughout this series," Andre adds, continuing, "The finish is reliant on a classic blow-dry, a strong technical haircut and the right finishing products."
