The Decade Collection

Decade by Joe Shaw According to Jim Shaw, owner of Essensuals Toni & Guy Billericay, men’s hairstyles are forever evolving. Current cuts, including
fades and hairstyles shorter at the sides with length on the top, have been extremely popular over the last few years. Recently, quiffs, crops, and smoothly worn precision cuts have topped the charts with an array of mostly polished finishes. Heading into 2019 and beyond, these hard parts and exact edges will start to change. Shaw believes this primped trend for men will transition into longer and loosely worn layered haircuts.

“Layers are a great way for men to add some volume to their hair. They can be incorporated into short, medium, and long hairstyles, however, look best on men with thick hair,” said Shaw. He continued, “Longer hair with lots of internal layers is one of my favorite looks for men, as it gives a much softer but rich feel and also provides natural movement. The year ahead is definitely about putting the clippers away for a while and using the scissors!”

Decade by Joe Shaw This seasoned hair pro predicts that texture will also become more on-trend, not only for men but for women too. Texturizing products such as salt sprays and other volumizing and texturizing sprays are developing into go-to products, which men and women can use to create effortless, messy hairstyles that require little to no styling.
