MB45 was co-founded by Fernanda Lacerda and Manuela Giannini, two native Brazilians who are long-time New Yorkers. They combined their business acumen and creative expertise to develop the chic studio hangout. Fernanda opened Brazilian beauty salon and spa, Maria Bonita, in Soho in 2003 while Manuela brings her innate style and interior design skills to the equation.
"We saw a need for a cool, efficient beauty experience focused on technique, design and customer service," noted Fernanda. "With even busier schedules, there's a growing desire for multi-tasking beauty studios."
"This is a city woman's beauty bar, inspired by urban street style and the fast pace of New York City," commented Manuela. "The design incorporates the feel of a working photo studio and wheat paste posters of #howdoIfeeltoday art by model/artist Nathalie Edenburg."
Perfect for lunchtime pampering or a mini midday makeover, MB45 signature services range from $65 to $75 including a blowout, braid or updo with a gel or polish manicure. Additional service offerings start at $80 and can include makeup.
