James Dinkel of The David Salon gave Ashley a long version of a shag with face framing layers and a shattered exterior. For her color he applied a vertical weave leaving a light blonde highlight through a caramel blonde base. Next a hint of strawberry blonde was added underneath for low lighting.

A dollop of Aveda Phomollient volumizing foam was worked in all over Ashley’s damp hair before blow-drying with a round brush for volume. Aveda Brilliant medium hold hairspray was applied onto sections before curling on hot rollers. Small sections and medium rollers were used underneath and larger sections and larger rollers were used on top. After cooling for 20 minutes, the rollers were undone and then James applied a dab of KMS Silk Sheen Shaping Lotion on his hands and ran his fingers through her hair to break up the sections.  He coaxed the hair into large, loopy coils and then misted with KMS Gloss Spray for luster and Aveda Brilliant for a medium hold.
