Curly Mohawk AKD-10-1134

A water-swept look with height on top and flowing movement all over.

Mist texture spray on towel-dried hair before blow-drying completely. Set two-inch sections of hair in a brick laid pattern rolling all sections back on an extra-large curling iron. Each section was first sprayed with thermal spray, curled and then was pinned up to cool. Unpin, tease hair and then smooth back over the surface with a comb. Take sections on the sides and pin them back tight to your head.

Plume of Curls AKD-10-1133

With a deep brunette tone and ultra-short baby bangs this look goes for smoothness in front and a contrast of texture everywhere else.

Apply texture blowing your hair bone dry. Set the bottom half taking two-inch sections, spraying each with working spray and rolling the section under on a medium curling iron. Slide the iron out and then pin the barrel curl up to cool. Undo and loosen sections with fingers. Grab random pieces, twist and pin them up with the ends sprigging upward.

Shiny, Wavy Bob - S-15-00978

Shiny, ribbon-like waves create soft texture and movement through Alana De La Garza’s at shoulder bob.

TDS-09-00953

For Leah, stylist Samantha Callis of The David Salon created a soft A-line bob with low, shattered layers for subtle movement. For her color, she added depth and dimension by highlighting with honey, caramel and pale blonde through her natural medium brown base.

Small random sections of dry hair were misted with working spray and wrapped around a 1.25-inch curling iron. Once the entire head was done, the curls were worked into place by hand and more spray was used over the surface for all day hold.
