Brie Mulkern of The David Salon in Costa Mesa, California gave Kristin a fabulous mid length style with lots of texture and movement. For the cut, a shoulder length perimeter was applied with collapsed square layers, while a heavy side band boldly sweeps forward over one eye.

For her color, a beige blonde base was broken up with a block of rich brown underneath and panels of lighter blonde and rich brown on top.

To style this sleek look, a volumizing foam was applied for lift at the root while a smoothing serum was distributed everywhere else. The hair was then blow-dried with a round brush for volume. The hair from the mid shaft to the ends was flat ironed for control. Shine spray was applied over the surface then a medium hold spray was used to finish.

For a highly textured upstyle, Brie started with damp hair and applied a strong hold gel before diffuse-drying to activate her natural curl. Working in three sections, she swept the hair back and pinned everything into place. The sides were done a little closer to the head to hold the shape of the style. The front was pinned in loosely to give a little height and allow the curl to show. The back was swept upward and pinned in leaving the ends sprigging upward.
