Pon International

Pon International

Based in Anaheim Hills, California, Pon Saradeth and Mary Jean Galvez have worked hard to put the Pon International brand on the map. After 25 plus years building the name, these salon owners can boast one of the most successful salons in northern Orange County area.

Heading up the creative side, and the namesake of the brand, is Pon Saradeth. Recognized as a top designer in many hair competitions, he has received over 100 awards internationally for his ability. He has built quite a reputation in the industry as a trendsetter, with a wide spectrum of talent including haircutting, color, finishing and photographic session work. His editorial work also has been in demand for both trade and consumer hair publications for many years.

The business side of Pon International is Mary Jean Galvez. She’s solely responsible for the long-term health of the business and runs the daily operations of the salon and spa. She also oversees their thriving brand of professional hair care and styling products that they retail at several salon locations. This perfect balance between Pon and Mary Jean and their commitment to top-notch customer service is why Pon International has been so very successful.

Pon International

Pon InternationalAs for the salon itself, there’s a warm feel and spa sort of ambiance throughout. It projects an atmosphere that is both inviting and relaxing. The walls are a warm yellow-ish eggshell color and the columns are delicately veined in varied earth tones. The fixtures and workstations as well as accent pieces feature warm brown wood tones for a richer, more textured appeal.

The flooring is a stone looking ceramic tile and lighter textured stone walls set off the “wow” factor to the first impression when entering the facility. In the reception area the warmth and abundance of natural elements is tied in with an earthy toned built in bench couch. Another seating area is located at the very back in case of overflow. Metal and wood work together on the front desk as amber alabaster lights hang down to illuminate the workspace.

Green carries through into the spa room where a full time facialist performs waxing and facial services with the latest top of the line micro derm abrasion equipment. A separate color processing room follows the spa feel with the eggshell and green textured walls, which allows a quiet retreat for clients to relax in while their color processes.

A different kind of warmth is used in a separate room set aside for just Pon and his clients. This open-ended space just off of the reception area features two stations that are constantly busy. Pon balances two assistants at all times to keep things flowing as a dozen or more multi-service clients pass through his stations each day.

“Our business is constantly growing,” states Mary Jean. “ There’s a barrage of clients that track Pon and his team down, either through their work in the magazines, local advertising, our website, or best of all, through word of mouth. That’s how we built the business originally and it’s how we plan on continuing to grow…. One happy client at a time.”
