Wanting to create something “not so ordinary” for the color, Alexander’s Grand Salon and Spa stylist Robbie Shaner started with a soft light brown base then added freehand panels of color in a series of toasty blonde highlights and medium brown lowlights.
For the style, long layers are added to frame Renee’s face and create movement low on the style. To control her natural texture, a leave in conditioner and a straightening balm are applied all over on wet hair. A root boost as well as a light texturizing gel help give volume where needed. After blow-drying with a large round brush, Robbie fine-tuned the kick in the ends with a small amount of styling pomade.
