Kat Dennings

Kat Dennings is the beautifully curvy actress originally known for her role in an episode of the HBO dramedy series Sex and the City. She has since appeared in films such as The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Big Momma's House 2, The House Bunny, and both Thor movies but it’s her role in the CBS sitcom 2 Broke Girls for which she is known best.

We’ve assembled some of her best red carpet looks, to show off fun ways to style naturally curly tresses. Read on curly girls, read on….

Look 1: Accessorize to glam up tousled waves.

Start with smooth, dry hair. Mist sections with working spray and wrap around a large curling wand. Continue until all sections are curled. Run fingers through to break up sections. Tease or back comb sections at the root just on the crown or highest point on the head. Smooth back over the surface to cover teased sections and add a headband, positioning it like a wreath.

Look 2: Shiny, flared out rolls flaunt a sleek, face-framing finish.

Apply smoothing serum mixed with gloss drops to damp hair and comb through to distribute evenly. Blow dry sections straight with a paddle or round brush, depending on your natural texture. Mist large dry sections with working spray and wrap around an extra-large curling iron, rolling all sections away from your face. Undo sections and finger-style hair into place.

Look 3: Smooth on top, these long layers have subtle movement through the ends.

To get the look, apply smoothing serum on damp hair and blow dry with a round brush. Keep the roots smooth but twirl the brush vertically as you release the ends of each section. Once all hair is dry, run a small amount of styling paste through the ends and then scrunch and tousle slightly.

Look 4: Go big with tousled, side-parted waves.

Start with dry hair. Mist sections with working spray and curl loosely with a large curling iron, rolling sections in alternating directions. Once all sections are curled, run fingers through to break everything up. Mist with texture spray and tousle.

Look 5: Slightly tousled texture and lifted roots provide a lived-in appeal.

Apply root boost spray at the base of damp hair and then blow-dry sections with a round brush. While still warm from the dryer, roll each section up onto Velcro rollers, mist with working spray and allow to cool. Undo rollers, flip head upside down and tousle hair. Flip upright, create a messy side part and then finger style hair into place. Mist with a light finishing spray.
