A very powerful color, red evokes so much emotion on many levels. It’s bold, passionate and intense with a tendency to awaken and motive, to provoke movement and to ignite lust and allure in one simple glance.
For Jake Thompson, this luminous hue was the inspiration and catalyst for his 2016 NAHA Haircolor entry, which went on to earn a nomination for the prestigious award.
When asked about his thought behind the collection, Jake said, “In the past, I tend to shoot fairly dark stuff, but this year I threw all that out the window. This year the red really grabbed me. I wanted red in every element of my collection from the background to the wardrobe, jewelry, makeup, and even the hair. Very tone on tone.”
