All That Glitters

Your everyday sparkle has gone from subtle to galactic, thanks to glitter. London designer Ashish gave us our first taste of this amplified festival look in his SS16 runway show, dousing models with a healthy helping of sequence.

Before long the shine and shimmer began taking over instagram feeds and magazine spreads with stylists, celebrities and influencers sprinkling body glitter down deep parts of the hair. A year has come and gone, and we're still hooked. For those not quite ready to roll themselves in a pool of shimmer, never fear. Here are a few tips for adding a little of metallic glam to your look.

Glitter Roots

Dusting large flecks of glittery sequence through your hair may not work for the office day to day. Instead, try using accessories in metallic finishes.  A gold bobby pin or hair clip is all you need to conquer the glow.

Pout Perfection

Naomi Campbell stunned at the 2016 MTV VMA's with her glittery rouge pout, care of iconic makeup artist Pat Mcgrath. The striking ruby red left everyone in a trance. Though gorgeous it won't survive the first sip of morning coffee. For a more wearable and long-lasting alternative try 2016's hot item, metallic lipsticks  or liquid lipsticks. Brands like NYX and PUR have been dazzling with new collections.

The Finely Milled
Loose pigments and shimmery eyeshadow sticks amplify any look with chic, goddess-like notes. Top the center of your lid with a finely milled glitter pigment or liquid glitter for an instant wow effect.

Turn heads at your next holiday party with one of these eye-catching looks.
